ICONIC FOOTWEAR BRAND TO BE OFFICIAL BOOT OF 31ST ANNUAL SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

January 8, 2015, New York, NY– Blundstone, the original Chelsea boot brand since 1870 from Tasmania, Australia is proud to announce its Sustaining sponsorship as the Official Boot of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Held in Park City, Salt Lake City, Sundance and Ogden, Utah from January 22 – February 1, 2015, this year marks the 31st anniversary and over three decades of fostering a vibrant independent film community.

As a Sustaining sponsor, Blundstone will have a significant brand presence throughout the festival beginning with the Day One Party located at Legacy Lodge where attendees will see Blundstone’s iconic airstream trailer and have the chance to engage in various interactive games. Labeled the “social hub” for Festival attendees, Blundstone will also have a presence at the Festival Co-op, located at 608 Main Street in Park City. The Festival Co-op will give access to over 10,000 festivalgoers to interact with the brand through film-related activations, as well as allow them to try and enter for a chance to win a pair of boots. Most notably however, over 320 filmmakers, jurors and special guests will receive a complimentary pair of Blundstone boots upon their arrival.

Recognized as quite possibly the world’s most comfortable, most durable boots ever made, Blundstone is known for its iconic elastic-sided Chelsea boots sold worldwide that offer durability and contemporary styling. The brand’s extensive boot range also includes a safety boot line that offers superior comfort and protection for industrial usage. Throughout the years, Blundstone has proven to be the go-to boot within the film industry both on and off screen.  Highlights of Blundstone’s presence on television and in feature films has included titles such as Transformers 4, Criminal Minds, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Californication, among many, many more.

Brand Launches First-Ever Women’s Specific Product

December 22, 2014, New York, NY – Blundstone, the original Chelsea boot brand since 1870 from Tasmania, Australia is launching its largest new product offering including the first ever women’s specific boot. Unveiling its 2015 collection, Blundstone is expanding on its authentic, iconic style with three new series, the Suede Original Series, the Lace-Up Original Series and the brand’s inaugural Ladies’ Original Series.

“We’re thrilled to debut this range and present even more options of the comfortable and quality boots our customers have come to expect,” says International Sales Executive, Andrew Ross. “This collection is particularly exciting with the introduction of the Ladies’ Original Series which includes our first women-specific offering. We know women love our iconic styles and this new offering brings a silhouette which is more tapered with a feminine shape and fit.”

The Suede Original Series, the Lace-Up Original Series and the Ladies’ Original Series are set to enhance the range of rugged, individualistic and authentic Blundstone boots. With a unique reputation for being built tougher than they need to be, Blundstone’s newest additions are lightweight and durable with a steel shank, removable footbed, and TPU/PU midsole for longer wear and comfort. Additionally, staples in the collection will be offered in new color ways such as 1435 Stout Brown/Burnt Orange, 1463 Stout Brown/Navy Tartan, 1308 Rustic Black and 1302 Burgundy.

Supporting the tremendous growth momentum in the U.S., Blundstone will launch its new website in 2015. Blundstone.com will feature an ecommerce function where users can browse the entire Blundstone product range, a store locator for users who want to find an authorized Blundstone retailer in their region, along with the debut of the brand’s new ‘Lifetime Guarantee Upgrade’, applicable to all Blundstone boots purchased in the United States.

Blundstone’s 2015 collection will be previewed at Outdoor Retailer, January 21-24th, 2015 (booth # 32156) and FN Platform, February 17-19th, 2015.

SUEDE ORIGINAL SERIES: MSRP $164.95
An update on the iconic elastic side Blundstone boot, the Suede Original Series in soft yet durable suede is lightweight, durable and features a steel shank, a removable, shaped comfort footbed, PORON® XRDTM (licensed trademarks of Rogers Corporation) in the heel strike zone, SPS MAX comfort shock protection and a new TPU outsole/PU midsole for longer wear and comfort.

LADIES’ ORIGINAL SERIES: MSRP $179.95
Blundstone introduces the Ladies’ Original Series in premium leather. Lightweight and durable, features include a steel shank, removable footbed, leather lining, and a TPU/PU combo.

LACE-UP ORIGINAL SERIES: MSRP $199.95
The newest addition to Blundstone’s 2015 collection, the Lace-Up Original Series in premium leather is lightweight, durable and features a steel shank, and a TPU/PU midsole for comfort and durability.

These new styles will be available at national retailers in August 2015.
